Get to Know Luis

I am the oldest of 4 and a first-generation professional. I am an avid gym-rat/goer, love trying new foods, and enjoy hiking and longboarding. With the digital world we are in, I am becoming more of a frequent traveler.

In 1999, my family packed what little we had and said goodbye to the only place we've known as home to travel to the United States. I can't put into words the hard work, resilience, and determination that my parents put into making this place home. Even with their efforts, by being the oldest in an immigrant family I have faced so many challenges, lacked so many resources, and realistically had very little to lean on when it came to navigating many parts of life here in the US. I thought I could use this experience and develop a platform to help many others and then I found ImmiGreatness. Through this organization, I want to be the person I needed when I was navigating this journey when I was younger and provide a hand for other immigrants or children of immigrants.
