Did you know Michigan is one of the most welcoming states in the country? If not, then you might be surprised to learn they partner with 50+ partners to provide resources to Immigrants and Refugees. In order to ensure all needs are met of newcomers, they offer resettlement, social, employment, educational, and more services.

Refugee Resettlement: The federal Department of State works with national voluntary/private resettlement agencies to decide the number of refugees to be settled in a particular region or state. The national resettlement agencies work with partner, local affiliates in states.

Unaccompanied Refugee Minors Program
Refugee Assistance: Refugee families with children in Michigan are eligible to apply for cash (Family Independence Program), available to residents with low income. The Refugee Assistance Program is a federally funded program which helps persons admitted into the U.S. as refugees to become self-sufficient after their arrival. Refugees who are single or married without children are eligible for temporary assistance.
In addition, they also provide services for those who are victims of trafficking.
